Content To Be Here.

“Time, time, time - see what’s become of me” wrote the wonderfully coiffured Art Garfunkel.

And it’s time that has been the issue of late - there’s a real lack of it. Especially when it comes to creating such “quality” content as this….. wipe that smirk off your face!!

I was speaking to a friend of mine, who is also self - employed, (or un-employable) to be more accurate and amongst the usual gripes of ; people being slow to make a decision on commissioning a job, then struggling to get people to engage with said job, is the time it takes to produce engaging social media.

To do it properly and not “half arsed” takes quite a bit of doing - I don’t just make stuff up as it comes into my head, you know - ok , ok most of the time I do, but I want this to be something that you feel has value - otherwise why would you even open it!

To promote a job these days , I have to do it 3 different ways - a bit like how hipsters have their chips cooked over in Blackheath or Shoreditch.

There’s the website advert - which must reflect both the business I represent and my own brand.

Then I have to put it on LinkedIn , to appeal to people who are considering their options and might want to apply but will then decide to ignore me once I’ve answered their initial enquiry.

TikTok then needs to be fed a 60 second soundbite that has nothing to do with the job but gets the algorithm salivating and features me prancing around with a hat on my head talking b*llocks.

You can find it at https://www.tiktok.com/@the.ag.recruiter in case you need to feel like your life decisions haven’t been all bad! (A subtle plug there!)

Once that’s been done , you sit back and watch the applications roll in … or not because ironically everyone is fed up of social media.

Which leaves me with you - the subscribers - those who are here of their own free will, you get the real version of it.

Like looking behind the curtain at Oz without the presence of a weirdo… okay, I see your point!

On to the sexiest jobs of the week….
